    Not reproduced on a disposable Windows 7 SP1 clone with the exact 2026-10-10-r42 x64 release (SHA-256 45a771e762be68b09b010b4ba2a71d1f733a6ccaa258ddfd8feb8d397b832976). Fresh settings/cache → New Notebook → first edit → close → cold reopen: WIN7_NEW_NOTEBOOK_QA remains visible and parses from the active .one revision. This covers a local folder using D3D11 software rendering with Aero composition disabled; the owner GPU/Aero path remains unproven. Leaving open for the crashdump; no speculative production patch.
