When a page's roots change, as on every page's first edit in a section Snowbound created, the writer checkpoints a fresh revision with no dependency (crates/onestore/src/section.rs:1133-1136). If two devices make that first edit before syncing (iCloud conflict versions, and provider lost uploads now too), the merge finds no shared revision, and even edits that don't clash come out as a whole-page conflict page. Nothing is lost. If the page-list space checkpoints the same way, the version's page moves and deletions are dropped. It happens at most once per page, but in every Snowbound-created section.
