#153android 8 page stays blank until the first tap

    On an API 26 emulator (GL, no Vulkan), after a cold start with the keyboard involved, the page stays blank with a black band at the bottom until the first tap. After the tap everything draws, but with a stray dashed box near the bottom. This looks like GL's handling of the first frame and of resizing. Screenshots: target/android-api26-20261015/shots/a26-05-coldstart.png and a26-07-tapped.png. API 29 and API 36 draw correctly.
